Submissions:

The Public Philosopher will consider unsolicited submissions.

We publish commentary that employs political philosophy–ancient, modern, and contemporary–to inform contemporary American policy debates.  While the best pieces will have something new to say about political philosophy, The Public Philosopher is concerned primarily with clarifying and illuminating concrete political issues. Read the existing posts for examples of what we’re looking for.

Writers should aim for 500 words, though we occasionally publish longer and shorter pieces. Submissions can be emailed to contact@thepublicphilosopher.com, with the subject line “SUBMISSION.”
