Is Afghanistan a just war?

Following on Jake’s great post last week, there has been quite a bit of buzz from left, center and the right of the blogosphere this past week over President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize speech in which he discusses the concept of just war.  NYT‘s The Lede blog has a good overview of the issue and some historical discussion of just war and Afghanistan.  And be sure to check out Michael Walzer, the leading contemporary scholar of just war theory, who has two articles on just war and the war in Afghanistan – one before the Nobel speech and one after.
